Fall is nearly here, and there are plenty of ways you and your family can experience autumn in Ephrata! From outdoor music to pumpkin picking, check out a few can’t-miss events happening in the borough this fall.

Ephrata Fair – September 20-24

Kick off the fall season at the Ephrata Fair! Not only is the annual fair celebrating its 103rd year, but it also happens to be the largest street fair in Pennsylvania! The schedule for this year’s fair is packed with family-friendly fun all five days, plus a parade starting at 7 p.m. on September 21st! The Ephrata Fair Parade is a unique opportunity for the community to gather and watch marching bands, floats, and attractions wind their way through downtown. If you have little ones, don’t miss “Kiddies Day” on September 22nd, where admission is FREE for children! Learn more about the event schedules on the fair website.

Whistle Stop Party on the Plaza – October 1

Join us for our last Party on the Plaza event for the year! October’s event will feature live music from Off Our Rockers. Vendors like Rad.ish Food Truck, Griddle & Grind, Tacos El Gordo, I Love Pralines (Ice Cream) will offer delicious food for sale. Adult beverages at this month’s event will be available from Hillside Public House, Old Republic Distillery, Weathered Vineyards, Under the Bridge Hard Cider and Truth Beer Co. Local craft and retail vendors will also be attending, offering unique handmade items for sale. Don’t miss out on this FREE downtown community event!

Ephrata Cloister Apple Dumpling Sales – October 7-8

Indulge in some delicious Pennsylvania Dutch treats for a great cause! The Apple Dumpling Sale will take place Friday, October 7th, and Saturday, October 8th, starting at 9:30 a.m. on both days at the Ephrata Cloister. All proceeds from the Apple Dumpling Sale support the Cloister Fund, which is used to return original items to the historic site. Dumpling sales end on Saturday while supplies last. Last year all the dumplings were gone by noon on Saturday, so be sure to mark your calendars and get there early!

Pop Up Pumpkin Party – October 8

Enjoy all the best parts of fall this October at Woodcrest Retreat’s Pop Up Pumpkin Party on October 8th at 1 pm! Visitors can pick a pumpkin from the patch and then decorate it while enjoying a delicious hot dog, apple cider, and some pumpkin-themed treats. The Pop Up Pumpkin Party will provide fall fun for the whole family!
