Join us from September 20 to 24th during our 103rd annual Ephrata Fair! The Ephrata Fair is the state’s largest street fair, and there is so much to see, experience, and look forward to this year. Read on to learn about the fun planned for this year’s fair, and be sure to mark your calendars because this is an event not to be missed.
A borough-wide celebration kicks off with the 87th Ephrata Fair Parade on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 7 PM! The parade will start at Ephrata High School and culminate at the State and W. Queen Street intersection. Visitors can enjoy live music, parade floats, candy, and more that will travel around the borough Wednesday evening. So come early to enjoy fair food and rides, or stay late and bask in the lights of the midway rides!
Located in Thomas P. Grater Memorial Park, Tent City will feature agricultural exhibits for all ages to enjoy! Local livestock, including cattle, swine, sheep, goats, rabbits, and poultry, will be on display and in competition for judging throughout the week. In addition, visitors can check out produce exhibits from the garden and field and enjoy Pennsylvania’s finest foods from local non-profit food vendors. Tent City will also host family-fun games, barnyard activities for the kids, and a Livestock sale supporting 4H and Future Farmers of America. The Midway section of the Ephrata Fair along Main and N. State Street is packed with an abundance of your favorite fair foods, rides, games, and more! Ride tickets and wristbands will be available for purchase from ticket booths around the Midway. Wristband booths are open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4 PM to close, and wristbands are valid on Thursday and Saturday from 12 PM–5 PM or 5 PM to close. Food and drinks are available for purchase all along the Midway until 10 PM when the rides and vendors close.
Thursday, September 22, is Kiddies Day at the Ephrata Fair! During Kiddies Day day, all Ephrata Area School District students have a day off of school and can enjoy free admission to the Fair. Kid-friendly activities will be scheduled in the Midway section of the Fair, including a jump rope-making class and a petting zoo in Tent City. In addition, the whole family can enjoy two live music events on Thursday evening. Jeff Kick will be impersonating Elvis at the Whistle Stop Plaza at 7 PM, and at the same time, the band “Easily Amused” will be performing in Tent City. Your whole family will surely have a great time during kiddies day, whether you come early or stay late!
