We’re sending a warm welcome to our new neighbors, Hillside Public House at Doneckers!
Hillside opened their doors in October 2020, and since then they have been serving our town some great food, brews, and booze!
The owners and staff at Hillside are driven by a community-oriented mindset. As noted on their website, Hillside shared, “A public house is historically known as a focal point in the community where friends can gather to socialize.” The owners and team have a passion for the Ephrata community, and they’ve worked hard to create an atmosphere that’s warm and welcoming for guests from all walks of life. What started as an interest in Ephrata’s community and history has now become a beloved gathering place—perfect for a date night or family dinner.
Hillside’s food menu is unique, as it’s almost completely sourced from Brewster’s BBQ! Featuring classics like Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket as well as house specials like Sausage Bites & Cheese and the Brew-Chos Nacho Plate, there really is something on their menu for everyone in the family. Don’t forget to try their mouthwatering, homemade sides including Mac & Cheese, Brewster’s Beans, and Brewster’s Beer Dip.
Hillside also offers a wonderful selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.
Patrons of Hillside can enjoy so much more than the food and drinks! Around the tasting room, you’ll find shuffleboard, cornhole, and seven big screen TVs—all set out for your enjoyment! Meet up with your close friends to watch the Big Game or challenge your significant other to a round of cornhole. However you prefer your friendly competition, Hillside has you covered.

With their extensive menu, unique space, and private rental offerings, it’s no surprise that Hillside has quickly become one of Ephrata’s hottest spots!
Stop by or order takeout this week! They’re open Wednesday to Friday from 4pm – 10pm, Saturdays from 12pm – 10pm, and Sundays from 12pm – 6pm. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Be sure to follow their Facebook and Instagram to keep up with all the specials and announcements.
