Mainspring is excited to expand our First Saturday Party on the Plaza events by featuring Party on Main all summer long. Seems like Summer just started, but the first day of school is right around the corner and Mainspring and the Ephrata Public Library have you covered.
Join us on Saturday, August 5 from 2:30-4:30 for a unique book walk, AND get your school supplies while you’re at it.
Here’s how it works:
- Start at the Whistle Stop Plaza where kids pick up their backpacks and maps of participating businesses.
- It’s then you will start your journey! Travel from business to business reading a page or pages from “Where the Wild Things Are” for our little ones, or “One Piece-Warrior of Liberation” Anime novel for our teens 12 years and older.
- Participating businesses will be handing out back-to-school supplies to kids as they progress along the route.
- Kids 12 and under will receive a copy of Where the Wild Things Are; Kids 12-17 will receive a copy of the new One Piece book, Vol. 123 Warrior of Liberation
- Our little ones can meet one of the Wild Things, from “Where the Wild Things Are” and hear a story read to them at 3:00 and 4:00 in the Visitor’s Center at the Whistle Stop Plaza!
