Our Ephrata tradition of Santa’s arrival and tree lighting continues. Many families look forward to this special evening and making precious memories each year. We will also welcome the Belsnickel. Visit with SANTA

Starting November 30, 2024, every Friday and Saturday until December 21, 2024, when Santa flies back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas.  Santa’s House is located at 16 E Main St, Ephrata PA 17522 in the visitor’s center/train station.

Ephrata Holiday Market ~ Saturday, November 30, 2024, 10am-2pm

 

Mainspring of Ephrata Christmas Committee is once again continuing our Christmas in Ephrata celebration the next day & is hosting our 4th Holiday Crafters Market! We want to support LOCAL crafters & businesses to get their holiday selling season off to a great start!! This event coincides with Small Business Saturday.

Please join us for Small Business Saturday & take advantage of some downtown shopping and the Holiday Market at the Whistle Stop Plaza, located at 16 E Main St., Ephrata, PA 17522 Downtown Ephrata. (stay tuned for list of vendors closer to the date)

 

Jingle Bell Tour ~ Friday & Saturday, December 6 & 7

 

The Jingle Bell Trolley Tour is BACK this year for the 11th season! Mainspring of Ephrata cordially invites you to this special community event. The tour will launch on Friday, December 6th, with family night and December 7th will be an adult night with a guided tour of Ephrata homes & businesses (outside only) that will be decorated for the holiday season.

 

Tickets for the event are as follows ~

  • Family night ~ $15 each  •  Adult night ~ $18 each

Candlelight Open House ~ Hosted by Historic Ephrata Cloister
  • Stay tuned for date!
  • 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • $7.00 per person age 3 and above

Walk the candlelit paths of the historic site and tour the buildings, listen to the music, and visit with craftsmen. Admission is $7.00 for everyone age 3 and above.

Christmas at the Cloister ~ Hosted by the Ephrata Cloister
  • Stay tuned for dates  |  $7 per person
  • 6:30 & 8:00 PM each night
  • 632 W Main St, Ephrata

Spend a few moments in quiet reflection with seasonal readings and holiday music in the historic Saal. Two programs are offered each night, one starting at 6:30 p.m. and the other at 8:00 p.m. Seating is limited and advance tickets are required for this event. Tickets are available to members starting November 1 and to the General Public on November 8.

Lantern Tours ~ Hosted by the Ephrata Cloister

These special tours don’t tell the full Ephrata story but take you back in time to visit with a special story. Each year offers a new story with a cast of junior and senior high school students playing the roles that bring history to life. The one-hour tours start every half-hour each night and reservations are required and can be made by calling the Visitor Center at 717-733-6600 beginning December 1.  Admission charged.

Ephrata Unexpected ~ New Year’s Celebration 2024

 

On Sunday, December 31, Mainspring of Ephrata is hosting its 3rd Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration from 9:30 pm ~ 12:00 am! The Square in downtown Ephrata will come alive to ring in the New Year! We’ll have dancing in the streets to live music, cheer to fireworks bursting on the hour, food trucks, adult beverages, and more!
