Celebrate an afternoon of music at Historic Ephrata Cloister during Day of Music! Three performances will take place at different locations on the site, with each repeated during the afternoon so visitors have the chance to enjoy them all, whether you stay for one or attend all three.
~ 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 PM – Beissel House
Music historian Bradley Smith presents a mini-lecture and demonstration of Pennsylvania Dutch folk music.
~ 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 PM – 1741 Meetinghouse
The Ephrata Cloister Chorus performs in one of the community’s most iconic spaces, filling the Meetinghouse with voices as it was centuries ago.
~ 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 PM – Visitor Center Auditorium
Guest musicians Faith Martin (harpsichord), Mercy Martin (violin), and Glenn Fisher (flute) present a chamber music performance.
The grounds will be open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with regular guided tours offered in the morning at 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM. This event is rain or shine.
