In the event of extreme weather, the concert will take place inside the Ephrata Recreation Center, 130 South Academy Dr.

Tobias, former director of the band, has been garnering the applause of Ephrata audiences for his leadership and musical talents for more than three decades.  The July 21st  concert will be his sole concert conducting the band this year.  Martin Hinkley conducted the first five of the band’s six admission-free Sunday evening concerts.

Donations to the Ephrata Concert Band will be accepted at the July 21st event.  During intermission, lemonade, hot dogs and other refreshments will be offered for sale by Carol Stark and other volunteers of her “4 Our Kids” charity.  Last year the charity funded 48 scholarships for summer educational sessions to help youths in need.

There will be a variety of selections played by the band including a few marches, selections from “Sounds of the Carpenters”, and a polka among others.
